Job description

A fully funded postdoc position is available in Prof. Michal Hocek Group. The candidate will join a small international team within a large multidisciplinary group of the Joint Laboratory of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry of Nucleic Acids of IOCB Prague and the Charles University in Prague. The project will involve the design and synthesis of novel modified nucleoside and nucleotide analogues for biological activity screening and applications in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in organic or medicinal chemistry
  • Well established experience and profound knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry
  • Additional experience in drug design and medicinal chemistry would be a plus
  • Ability to independently work on the research project
  • Good proficiency in spoken and written English
