Job description

The Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry is looking for a new colleague to join the IOCB Compound Library as a Laboratory technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Operation of an automated peptide synthesizer
  • Preparation of samples for analyses and other experiments
  • Purity and identity analysis of compounds
  • Keeping laboratory records and preparing samples
  • Working with laboratory equipment (e.g., peptide synthesizer, liquid chromatograph, balances)
  • Collaboration with research teams

The position is suitable for graduates or parents returning from parental leave.

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education with a school-leaving exam, ideally in a chemistry-related field
  • A university degree in chemistry or a related field is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures
  • Independence, responsibility, and reliability, with a meticulous approach
  • Previous laboratory experience is an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team
