"The Nencki Institute is one of the top Polish scientific institutions with outstanding biological research that is an excellent fit for our projects, especially in the development of new therapies,” says Prof. Jan Konvalinka. “This collaboration is strategically important for us, and I’m very curious to see what surprises it brings. It will also be very useful for our students and young scientists, who will meet and exchange experiences."

“The Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, comprising world-class scientists, has been highly successful in technology transfer and is a benchmark for us, as well as for many other European research entities, in innovative translational research,” says Prof. Agnieszka Dobrzyń. “I am convinced that close collaboration between the institutes will result in excellent discoveries, inventions in the field of biomedicine, which will contribute to improving the health of society.”

The cooperation will focus on joint research projects, especially major research infrastructural projects, and cooperation and exchange of information in translational research. It will also focus on training and educating Ph.D. students and the exchange of good practices, for example in the operation of core facilities, public relations, and the promotion of science.
