The AUTOPOL VI (Rudolph Research Analytical, USA) is a modern microprocessor based automatic polarimeter for measurement of optical rotation (±89.99° Arc), specific rotation ±999.99° Arc) and concentration (0 - 99.9%). The Autopol VI comprises Glan Thomson calcite quartz prism polarizer. For Racemic Solutions and very low concentration samples, the Autopol® VI laboratory Polarimeter provides unmatched 4th decimal optical rotation accuracy of ±0.0003°Arc over ±1°Arc. Instrument performance for readings between -1 and 1° Arc is: Resolution ±0.0001, Reproducibility ±0.0002, and Accuracy ±0.0003. However, usually the resulting values of specific rotation are given with one decimal place. TempTrol™ system alows electronic cooling & heating from 15°-35°C ±0.2°C. Six Standard wavelengths are available: 365 nm, 405 nm, 436 nm, 546 nm, 589 nm and 633 nm. The polarimeter accepts sample cells up to 200 mm. The instrument was installed in 2023.

SR7500DC SPR System

SR7500DC Surface Plasmon Resonance System (Reichert Instruments) is the last generation of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology with incomparable sensitivity and high-quality binding data for interaction analysis - all in a flexible component-based platform. The key to the system is the advanced SR7500 Dual Channel SPR Spectrometer instrument. The label-free system generates data on critical interactions between proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, carbohydrates, small molecules, whole cells, bacteria, viruses, and polymers.

Components of the SR7500DC System include:

  • SR7500DC apectrometer
  • autosampler
  • programmable syringe pump
  • diverter valve
  • flow cells
  • sensor chips

LEAP PAL robot combined with HDX system

The system for hydrogen-deuterium exchange (HDX) studies is equipped with the latest generation of HDX-MS instrumentation from Waters Corporation composed of a Synapt G2 mass spectrometer with electrospray ionization and CID fragmentation technique, an ACQUITY UPLC M-Class system with HDX manager, and LEAP-Pal robot for automated sample preparation and handling providing high data reproducibility. The option to apply the protease columns with different substrate specificity from Affipro company for online digestion of proteins solves the widespread problem with reaching the sufficient protein sequence coverage. It provides sufficient sequence coverage of studied protein crucial for deuterium uptake mapping and thus it facilitates the data interpretation as itself.

In our lab, system for HDX is used for the study of protein-protein or protein-ligand interactions.

LEAP PAL robot combined with HDX system was installed in December 2021.
